- While I was in West Virginia for a taping of the Gospel Balloon Presentation, I was invited to speak at a local church for their Children's Sabbath service and to give the balloon presentation of the Gospel. For many weeks prior to my visit, the congregation was informed of my presentation date. This was done through the bulletin each Sunday, announcements, and an article was written for the monthly newspaper. There was also an article written for the local newspaper. Prior to the service that Sunday balloons were put in the sanctuary. They were also outside at the entrances. The Church sanctuary this Sunday was made one of the most colorfully-decorated services in which I've ever given a presentation. Besides the many colors of balloons, the choir members wore different colored stoles.
Through the Holy Spirit, all parts of the service were pulled together. Linda Wellings said that she started a new study for her Senior High Class. Guess what? It incorporated balloons into the lesson! The lesson focused on our being a child of God. Independently, the younger Sunday school class passed out hearts that said "Child of God" for the worship service! God was at work in the service that morning, and during the presentation all attention was focused on the message. At the end of the presentation, I gave the invitation to accept Christ to all who wanted Jesus as their Savior and Lord over their life, and to seal for eternity their home in heaven. An elderly gentleman came forward to accept this wonderful gift. When this happens, I think to myself that we have one more soul with us in heaven.
- Flying from the East Coast to California, I was pulled out of line for a security check at the airport. The Gospel Colors Magnetic Jewelry that I was carrying had triggered the security personnel to make a bag search. The security guard, C.W., opened my luggage and saw the package of Gospel Colors Magnetic Bracelets. When she saw what they were, she was very excited and interested in them. Turns out that she was getting off work in 20 minutes to go to church, a church in which one of the Gospel Colors Inc., merchandiser displays for the Magnetic Jewelry was already available with pieces for sale! She said that she would be checking it out! She told me, "I'm so glad I pulled you aside for a security check!"
- While in California, I was invited to attend a fund-raiser for an Indian Orphanage. I donated one of the Gospel Colors Magnetic Jewelry pieces for the silent auction table. Once the variety of ways it could be used or worn was demonstrated to the attendees, it eventually sold for $75!
